All up-to-date information on the internship process — the calendar, application and insurance procedures, forms, report and submission rules, and frequently asked questions — is gathered in the Compulsory Internship Guide.
- Internship Purpose and Scope
The primary purpose of the internship program is to provide our undergraduate students with practical industry experience in relevant sectors and to prepare them for professional life before graduation. Through their internships, we aim for our students to:
- apply the theoretical knowledge they acquire throughout their undergraduate education in real-world work environments,
- develop their personal and professional skills,
- observe current developments and changes in the fields they are interested in,
- explore career and employment opportunities aligned with their interests and career goals,
- start their professional careers better equipped and prepared upon graduation.
As an integral part of our undergraduate program, the internship provides students with an opportunity not only to develop their professional knowledge and skills but also to gain first-hand experience of the professional working environment. During this process, students also gain valuable experience in areas such as preparing a professional résumé, applying for jobs, preparing for job interviews, and communicating effectively in a professional setting.
- Internship Duration
All IE students are required to complete at least 40 working days of internship during their four-year undergraduate education.
- Insurance
In accordance with the Social Insurance and Universal Health Insurance Law No. 5510, students participating in vocational training or internships at organizations are covered by the relevant occupational accident and occupational disease insurance provisions in accordance with applicable legislation.
